Gunfire Games released the original Remnant on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One, and gameplay video of the Nintendo Switch port shows that the portable version lags behind those versions graphically.

The game is notable for its mish-mash environment design which falls between procedurally generated maps and an open world design with elaborate monster design, which looks like a cross-contamination between some of the repulsive Dark Souls or Bloodborne creatures and Fallout 3’s radiated abominations. Players can proceed about the game in any way they want and embark either solo, or engage in jolly cooperation. Remnant: From the Ashes is a Dark Souls style third person shooter RPG action survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated and overrun by an interdimensional evil called the Root. A release date other than “coming soon” was not announced, but it will be available both physically and digitally.
Developer Gunfire Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing are now releasing Remnant: From the Ashes for Nintendo Switch.
